Battilossi, a historic company founded in 1959 and now a distinguished producer of contemporary rugs, is proud to present a new project that celebrates its ongoing evolution: the collaboration with the artist photographer Francesco Pergolesi.
This exhibition is a tribute to tradition, but also an act of experimentation, in which Battilossi rugs, reinterpreted through the Moodboards - the new guiding concept of the company - come to life in new artistic dimensions.

For this project, Francesco Pergolesi has chosen to interpret the Battilossi Moodboards and the rug-making process through a series of evocative and fascinating photographic settings, capturing the visual essence of the weaves, colors and textures that define the identity of each piece.

The resulting images represent a convergence between the tangible world of textile craftsmanship and the evocative realm of photography, creating a profound connection between textile art and the elements of light, movement and space.
From May 15th to June 8th, the Battilossi threads depicted by the artist, just like the mythological thread of Ariadne (from the Greek Ἀριάδνη – from which the exhibition takes its name) that led Theseus out of the labyrinth, guide visitors through the Gallery offering insight into the intricate process of rug creation. This journey provides a unique opportunity to engage with the worlds of art, architecture, and interior design.

The exhibition thus becomes a dialogue between heritage and innovation, re ecting Battilossi’s commitment to honoring its historical legacy while continually pursuing creative evolution. Visitors are invited to delve into a visual narrative that reveals not only the aesthetic beauty of the rugs, but also their profound connection to history, culture, and contemporary artistry.
